I told you about the church thrift shop, where a lot of people were picking. This is a working class community, but being in a big city, we have a lot of colleges, and a lot of pretty good ones. The goofy thing is that you go into the college textbook exchanges on facebook, and you see a lot of people selling cars and other things.
It’s because I have a bit of a hoarding tendency. Hoarding is different from collecting things, and it’s also different from just having a lot of stuff. Hoarding has recently been classified as a form of OCD, and also as it’s own thing, in the DSM V. The DSM is the book that defines mental disorders.
A long time ago, I was at the thrift store and bought a nice colander for $3. I initially bought it for myself, then figured I could sell it. Eventually, it sold, for $6. That was way too cheap, but, the fact was, other vendors were selling it online at a similar price. On Ebay, others were selling it for a lot more.
